Abstract

The present study identifies the hydrochemical and isotopic properties of the Savcılı thermal waters, Gurutlu spring and Hirfanlı Dam Lake waters in Kırşehir province, a geothermal field in Central Anatoiia. Based on those properties, a hydrogeological regime is proposed in order to explain the Savcılı geothermal system. Thermal water of Savcılı well relation between the environmental stable isotopes, deuterium and oxygen-!8 concentrations is similar to the relationship for global meteoric water, indicating that the water is of meteoric origin and it has different evaporation effect due to the seasons. The waters of the Savcılı are mainly of the Na-$HCO_3$-Cl type. Gurutlu spring waters are mainly of the Ca-Cl-$HCO_3$ type. The Saved) thermal waters saturated to dolomite but undersaturated to gypsum, anhidrite and halite, Gurutlu spring waters are not saturated to any rainerai. The hydrogeological system comprises of Baranadağ granitoides. The temperature range of the reservoir is estimated to be 54°C -89 °C, on the basis of $SiO_2$ geothermometers.
