Abstract
The six-dimensional Ising model is simulated on the Creutz cellular automaton with five-bit demons for hypercubic lattices of linear dimensions L= 4,6,8 . The effect of the number of independent simulations on the critical quantities is studied. From the values of the magnetization and the magnetic susceptibility at the infinite-lattice critical temperature $T_c$, $frac{d}{4}$ =1,45(51), $frac{d}{4}$ = 1,44(26), $frac{d}{4}$ = 1,44 (26) and = 3.014(27), = 3.049(52) =3.040 (61); from the maxima of the magnetic susceptibilities$frac{d}{2}$ = 2.973(42), $frac{d}{2}$ = 2.984(57), $frac{d}{2}$ = 2.980(50); and from the critical temperatures of the finite-size lattices $T_c$ = 10.8383(26),$T_c$ = 10.8382(30) , $T_c$ = 10.8384(29) are obtained for 7,14 and 21 independent simulations, respectively. For $frac{d}{4}$ and $frac{d}{2}$ the number of simulations must be greater than 14 in order to have differences in the third digit after the decimal point. The number of simulations greater than 7 is enough for having differences in the fourth digit in the case of the critical temperature for the infinite lattice
