Özet

Beyaz Süngerimsi Nevüs (BSN) doğuşta var olabilen veya daha sonra ortaya çıkabilen ve otozomal dominant geçiş gösteren nadir bir hastalıktır. Bu olguda, şikayetleri 8 yaşından beri devam eden 27 yaşındaki bir erkek hastanın oral muaye nesinde, ağız mukozasında bilateral diffüz beyaz lezyonlar tespit edilmiştir. Hastanın sağ bukkal mukozasından alınan insizyonel biyopsi materyali ışık mikroskopisi ile incelenmiştir. Histopatolojik olarak BSN tanısı konulan materyalde ayrıca polimeraz zincir reaksiyonu ile human papillomavirus (HPV) tip 6, 13, 16 ve 18' in varlığı araştırılmıştır. Sadece HPV-16'ya ait homolog DNA dizileri saptanmıştır.

Abstract

White Sponge Nevus (WSN) is an uncommon autosomal dominantly inherited condition that may be present at birth or appear in childhood.In this case, bilateral diffuse whiteness in the intraoral examination of the 27 years old male patient who had white lesions of the oral cavity since 8 years old. An incisional biopsy sample was obtained from the right buccal mucosa. Biopsy materials were examined by light microscopy. WSN was identified by histological appearance and also DNA extracted from biopsy specimen of oral WSN was assayed by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method for the presence of DNA homologous sequences to human papillomavirus (HPV) types 6,13,16 and 18. Only HPV-16 homologous DNA sequences were detected in the gel photo line 3.
