Kalsiyum fosfat içerikli cikletlerin tükürük kalsiyum ve fosfat konsantrasyonları ile tükürük pH ve akış hızına etkileri

Özet
Cikletlerin içeriklerinde değişik tipte çürük önleyici ajanlar bulunmaktadır. Kalsiyum-fosfat içeren şekersiz cikletlerin kullanımı ile tükürükteki kalsiyum fosfat seviyelerinin arttığı diğer çalışmalarda tespit edilmiştir. Bu çalışmanın amacı; kalsiyum fosfat içerikli cikletlerin, tükürük kalsiyum ve fosfat konsantrasyonuna olan etkilerinin değerlendirilmesidir. Bu çalışmada kalsiyum-fosfat içeren üç ayrı ciklet ile kalsiyum-fosfat içermeyen kontrol cikleti kullanıldı. Çalışmaya 7 gönüllü diş hekimliği öğrencisi katıldı. 2 günde bir tükürük örnekleri toplandı. Elde edilen verilerin istatistiksel değerlendirilmesi (Scheffe'nin çapraz karşılaştırılması)testi ile yapıldı. A, B ve C sakızları arasında istatistiksel olarak bir farklılık bulunmadığı belirlendi. (p>0.05) Deney grubu cikletleri arasında önemli bir fark olmamasına karşın, çalışmadaki tüm cikletlerin, tükürük kalsiyum fosfat seviyesini arttırdıkları belirlendi.
Abstract
Chewing gums are considered to have different types of anticaries agents. It is documented in other studies that the use of calcium-phosphate containing sugar-free chewing gum increase the concentration of calcium-phosphate level on the saliva. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of calcium-phosphate containing chewing gum on the saliva calcium and phosphate concentration. In this study calcium-phosphate containing three chewing gums and control gums were used. 7 dentistry students were volunteer for this study. The saliva specimens are collected the day after for a week. Results are analysed using the (Scheffe's multiple comparisons).We were found that there are no significant statistical differences between the chewing gums A, B and C. (p>0.05) However there were no significant difference between these chewing gums, all the gums in this study managed to increase the concentration of calcium-phosphate level of saliva.
