Çene yüzü protezleri ve ekstraoral implantlar

Özet

Çene-yüz hasarları hastalarda fonksiyonel ve estetik problemlere neden olmaktadır. Bu hasarların tedavisi cerrahi ya da protetik yolla yapılabilmektedir. Cerrahi tedavinin çeşitli sebeplerle uygulanamadığı durumlarda protetik tedavi iyi bir alternatiftir. Bu literatür derlemesinde hasar tiplerinden, protez başarısını etkileyen faktörlerden, çene-yüz protezlerinin tutuculuğunu sağlamak amacıyla kullanılan extraoral implantlardan ve üst yapılarından bahsedilmektedir.

Abstract

Maksillofacial defects may produce physical and aesthetical problems. These defects are reconstructed with surgical or prosthetic techniques. Because surgical techniques are difficult to perform, craniofacial defects are usually prosthetically reconstructed. The purpose of this literature review is to imply defect types, factors that affects success of prosthetic reconstruction, extraoral implants and retention systems.
