Özet

Amaç: Bu çalışmada, Gazi Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Hastanesi'nde meydana gelen ölümlerin nedenleri incelenerek, ülkemizin ölüm istatistiklerine katkıda bulunmak amaçlanmıştır. Gereç ve Yöntem: Gazi Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Hastanesi'nde 2005 yılında ölen kişilere ait hastane dosyalan, ölen hasta ile ilgili bilgi formları, MERNİS ölüm tutanakları ve Türkiye İstatistik Kurumu (TÜİK) ölüm istatistik formları incelenmiştir. Tarafımızca saptanan ölüm nedenleri ICD- 10'a (Uluslar arası Hastalık Sınıflandırması) göre sınıflandırılarak analiz edilmiştir. Bulgular: Olgularımızın erkek / kadın oranı 1.23'tür. Yaş ortalaması 56.7 ± 25.3 olup en sık görülen yaş grubu % 25.4 ile (n=271) 70-79 yaş grubudur. Olgularımız ölüm nedenlerine göre incelendiğinde; ilk sırayı %37.4 ile (n=398) dolaşım sistemi hastalıkları almış olup, bunu %24.7 ile (n=263) kanserler izlemektedir. Olgularımızın %11.8'i (n=126) adli olgu olup, tüm adli olguların %69.0'lm (n=87) trafik kazalarına bağlı ölümler oluşturmaktadır. Olgularımızın %24.4'ü (n=260) erişkin acil serviste ölmüşlerdir. Sonuç: Hastanemizde çalışan hekimler ölüm nedenleri konusunda eğitilerek, ölü gömme izin kağıdına ve TÜİK'e gönderilen ölüm formuna yazılan ölüm nedenlerinin Dünya Sağlık Örgütü'nün kabul ettiği kriterlere göre yazılması sağlanmalıdır.

Abstract

Purpose: The aim of this study is to assist in our national statistics by investigating the causes of the deaths that occurred in a year in the Hospital of. Gazi University Medical Faculty. Material and method: The hospital records of the persons that died in the Hospital of Gazi University Medical Faculty in 2005, death information forms, MERNIS death reports, and Turkish Statistical Institute death statistic forms were investigated. The identified causes of death were classified according to ICD-10 (International Codes of Diseases) and analyzed. Results: The male/female ratio of our cases is 1.23. The mean age is 56.7± 25.3, the highest percentage of cases is in the 70-79 age group with 25.4% (n=271). When our cases are investigated according to causes of death, circulatory system diseases rank first with 37.4% (n=398), followed by cancers with 24.7% (n=263). Furthermore, 11.8% (n=126) of the cases are forensic, and 69.0% (n=87) of all the forensic cases are deaths due to traffic accidents; 24.4% (n=260) of our cases died in the Emergency Department. Conclusion: It is required to educate the physicians of our hospital on causes of death to record accurately and confidentially deaths on the deceased burial permission forms and death certificates being reported to the Turkish Statistical Institute.
