Özet

Bu araştırmanın amacı Lawson (2000) tarafından geliştirilen mantıksal düşünme testini Türkçe'ye uyarlamaktır. Bu amaçla öncelikle testi geliştiren araştırmacıdan izin alınmış ve test maddeleri birinci yazar tarafından Türkçe'ye çevrilmiştir. Ardından İngilizceTürkçe uyumluluk derecelendirme formu ve Türkçe anlaşılabilirlik derecelendirme formu hazırlanıp, testin tercüme geçerliği incelenmiştir. Dil geçerliği sağlanan teste madde analizi uygulanmış ve asıl uygulama 779 öğrenciyle gerçekleştirilmiştir. Testin Spearman Brown güvenirlik katsayısı 0.72 olarak hesaplanmıştır. Testin altboyutları ve toplam test puanları arasında pozitif ve 0.01 seviyesinde anlamlı bir ilişki vardır.Araştırma sonucunda elde edilen bulgular Lawson Mantıksal Düşünme Testi'nin (LMDT) güvenilir bir şekilde kullanılabileceğini göstermiştir

Abstract

Aim of this study was to adapt the test whose name is “Classroom Test of Scientific Reasoning” which was updated by Lawson (2000), into Turkish. After obtaining the permission from the researcher, the items of the test translated into Turkish by the researchers. After that, the forms which are English-Turkish compatibility rating form and Turkish intelligibility rating form were prepared and the translation validity was analyzed. Then, item analyse was used and the final form of test was administered to a group which included 779 students. The reliability coefficent of total test (Spearman Brown) was calculated as 0.72. And there is significant positive correlation between tests’ sub-factors and total test scores.Research’s findings revealed that adapted test can be used reliably
