Braille (Kabartma) Yazıya Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği Geliştirme Çalışması

Özet

Bu çalışmada, Braille (kabartma) yazıya yönelik tutumları ölçmek amacıyla kullanılabilecek birölçme aracının geliştirilmesi hedeflenmiştir. Bu hedef doğrultusunda, araştırmacılar tarafındansistematik bir işlem süreci takip edilmiştir. Çalışmanın katılımcılarını 2017-2018 eğitim-öğretimyılı bahar döneminde eğitim fakültelerinin özel eğitim bölümlerinde lisans öğrenimi görenüniversite öğrencileri oluşturmuştur. Bu kapsamda, hazırlanan ölçek toplam 567 öğrenciyeuygulanmıştır. Öğrencilerden elde edilen ölçek verileri random olarak ikiye ayrılarak bir grupüzerinde (n1=273) açımlayıcı faktör analizi, diğer grup üzerinde (n2=294) ise doğrulayıcı faktöranalizi yapılmıştır. Yapılan açımlayıcı faktör analizi sonucunda, üç faktör (ilgi ve istek, öğrenme,inanç) ve 15 maddeden oluşan bir yapı ortaya çıkmıştır. Elde edilen bu yapının geçerliği,doğrulayıcı faktör analizi ile test edilmiş ve ölçeğin kabul edilebilir düzeyde uyum indeksdeğerlerine sahip olduğu görülmüştür. Ölçeğin tamamından elde edilen Cronbach Alfa güvenirlik(iç tutarlık) katsayısı .88 olarak tespit edilmiştir. Faktörlere ait güvenirlik katsayıları ise .73 ile.86 arasında değişmiştir. Elde edilen bulgular, ölçeğin Braille yazıya yönelik tutumları ölçmekiçin geçerli ve güvenilir olduğunu göstermiştir.

Abstract

In this study, it was aimed to develop a measurement tool, which can be used to measurement attitudes towards Braille. In accordance with such purpose, a systematic process was followed by the researchers. Participants of the study were university students who received undergraduate studies in the special education departments of the education faculties during the spring semester 2017-2018 academic years. In this regard, the prepared scale was applied on a total of 567 students. Scale data obtained from the students were divided randomly into 2 groups and (n1=273) exploratory factor analysis was performed on a group, while (n2=294) confirmatory factor analysis was performed on the other group. As a result of the exploratory factor analysis, three factors (interest and desire, learning, belief) and a structure consisting of 15 items emerged. The validity of this obtained structure was tested by confirmatory factor analysis and it was found that the fit indices values were acceptable at the scale. The Cronbach Alpha reliability (internal consistency) coefficient obtained from the whole scale was .88. The reliability coefficients of the factors ranged from .73 to .86. The obtained findings have indicated that the scale is valid and reliable to measure attitudes towards Braille.
