Açık ve Uzaktan Öğrenmede Öğrenenlerin Ödevlere ilişkin Memnuniyetlerinin İncelenmesi

Examination of Learners' Satisfaction with Homework in Open and Distance Learning

Özet

Bu araştırmanın amacı, açık ve uzaktan öğrenmede öğrenenlerin ödevlere ilişkin memnuniyetlerinin incelenmesidir. Bu amaçla Anadolu Üniversitesi Açıköğretim Sistemi’nde 2017-2018 öğretim yılından itibaren öğrenenlerin değerlendirilmesinin tamamen ödevlerle gerçekleştirildiği Edebî Metin İncelemeleri, Felsefi Araştırma ve Yazı, Sosyolojide Araştırma ve Uygulamalar ve Tarih İncelemeleri derslerini alan 486 öğrenen araştırmanın örneklemini oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma tarama modelinde, nicel ve tekil desende tasarlanmıştır. Araştırmada veriler çevrim içi olarak uygulanan bir ölçme aracı ile toplanmıştır. Uygulanan ölçme aracının güvenirlik katsayısı 0.84 olarak hesaplanmıştır. Yapı geçerliliğini test etmek için yapılan faktör analizi sonucuna göre Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO)= 0.82 ve Bartlett testiχ2= 1944.141; p= 0.000 bulunmuştur. Araştırmada temel bileşenler analizi ile ölçme aracının faktör yapısı belirlenmiş, tek faktörlü bir yapı elde edilmiştir. Bu yapı “öğrenenlerin ödevlere ilişkin memnuniyeti” şeklinde adlandırılmıştır. Faktör yük değerlerinin .685 ve üzerinde olduğu görülmüştür. Tek faktöre ilişkin varyans oranı %59.254’tür. Öğrenenlerin memnuniyetleri yaş, cinsiyet ve aldıkları ders değişkenleri açısından incelenmiştir. Elde edilen bulgular, öğrenenlerin memnuniyetlerinin yaş ve alınan ders değişkenlerine göre anlamlı düzeyde farklılaştığını göstermiştir. Genel olarak öğrenenlerin ödevlerden memnun oldukları görülmüştür.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine students' satisfaction with homework in open and distance learning. The sample of the research consists of 486 learners who took the courses of Literary Text Analysis, Philosophical Research and Writing, Research and Applications in Sociology, and History Studies in which the assessment of learners is carried out entirely with homework in Anadolu University Open Education System since the 2017-2018 academic year. The research is designed in scanning model, quantitative and singular design. The data in the study were collected with an online measurement tool. The reliability coefficient of the applied measurement tool is 0.84. According to the factor analysis results to test the construct validity, Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO)= 0.82 and Bartlett test χ2= 1944.141; It was found with p= 0.000. In the research, the factor structure of the measurement tool was determined by principal component analysis, and a single factor structure was obtained. Factor loading values were found to be .685 and above. The variance rate explained for a single factor is 59.254%. The views of the learners were examined in terms of age, gender and course taken variables. The satisfaction of the learners was examined in terms of age, gender and course taken variables. The findings showed that the satisfaction of the learners differed significantly according to the age and course taken variables. In general, it was observed that the learners were satisfied with the homework.
