Abstract

This paper analyses the relations between the aspects of modernity and the metaphor of travel in Les Fleurs du Mal by Charles Baudelaire. The poet conceives the poetic discourse as a "sacred" Verb that turns into an alchemical pilgrimage of the "you" and "I" of the poems.
