Abstract

Legends are the products of the human endeavor to understand existence and the universe in which humans live. The answers to many questions humans ask themselves are ever present in these stories. Even in different geographies, human who resemble one another in terms of the concerns they share and the stages in their lives, whatever their belief and culture have always produced legends that can be compiled under several headings. One of these are the legends about creation. The aim of this study is to analyze the illusion to the egg in the legends of genesis throughout various mythologies in the world in the light of comparative literary methodologies. The importance of this feature and the ways in which it appears in legends will be highlighted.
