Abstract

Our article focuses on the comprsion of two French plays: J. Giraudoux’s Electre and E. Ionesco’s Tueur sans gages (Killer without award). Using examples from their plays we display that, points in common exist between the two which lead to a confluent esthetic of the open-close and the circular for both of the dramatists.
