Abstract

Marie Darrieussecq in Pig Tales transforms the female body in order to point out the difference between “how I see” and “how I am seen”. Thus, the male view seems to be the main identity forming element. Darrieussecq makes a mirror the witness of those transformations which not only reflects the female corporality but also limits her existence. Pig Tales illustrates the transgression of the traditional vision of the female through body Julia Kristeva’s mechanism of abjection.
