Abstract

This study aims to present the semantic and syntactic explications in the dramatic work named La Musica Deuxième of Marguerite Duras. The theme, the separation and suffering for love, which adds a dramatic dimension to the scene of separation, in which the heroes questioned what they had experienced in their last date, gives an interesting structure to the work with various implicit meanings and references. However, the playwright’s style, which is based on implicating rather than elaborating, indicates that the main message in the work is not separation but love, which makes a significant contribution to the analysis and the dramatic value of the play
