Abstract

Genres of art diversify as a result of the diversification of forms of art that essentially create art itself. Factors that lead to the singularisation/ origination of form represent the technical processing style that is employed in working on outer form and sensual material. Language, as a dense essence and a spiritual product provides the ‘sensual material’ and space for literature. A writer originates his/her form as s/he turns the linguistic material to art or reproduces it artistically. The reason Hegel, in his aesthetic theory, places literature at the core of art is that he processes the sensual material of literature, i.e. language, with the transformational aspect of the spiritual. As a result of its substance, ars littera has spirituality or intellectuality as principle. Being a linguistic product, each work of literature is a whole. Hence, literature is a holistic art and a holistic space. Literature, in comparison to other forms of art, is most affected by the intimate and externalizes it. Literature on the one hand, internalizes subjective intimacy and the partiality of the external whereas on the other hand it segregates both as minute aspects. Catalyst of characters per se, art of literature thus differentiates itself. Just like imagination that generates it, art of literature also employs multidimensional tools of visibility
