Abstract

Tuğrul İnal continues to investigate the basic principles of Baudelaire’s philosophy through hisworks Le Spleen de Paris and Les Fleurs du Mal with the Empathy method. İnal fictionalizesBaudelaire’s texts as a poetic monologue through the Empathy method. This method which can be used in plays, poetry and stories is a rewriting process based on a work of fiction, and re-forms thetext on the axis of imagery, reality and subjectivity. The secondary new narrative is a paradigmatictext formulated on the projection of the original. The reality of the original is converted into anarrative and theatrical meta-reality. Thus, the dichotomies of good-evil, rise-fall, and the beautythebeast are discussed in the context of the figures of God, the Devil and Woman. The writer of thesecond text is the narrator and the producer. The second text which has a symphonic poetic styleis composed of three parts: Dreams and Passions, Praise and Ridicule for the Loved One, and thefinal part Tension and Pain.
