Abstract

Knowledge is a relation between object and subject within its shortest definition. But this relation between object and subject does not occur in a realm that both concept is isolated from each other. Rather, both entities gain their own-existence by a dialectical relation in a beyond-ness situation. From a sociological perspective, society corresponds exactly to this situation. All knowledge practices of homo socius actually based on a relation between now-hereness and beyondness. This article which deals mentioned problem, is consisted of three episodes. First it tries to compare pre-modern and modern knowledge systems. Secondly, it refers to two approach (inner and external approach) in scientific historiography and analysis Whigistic tendency in both approach. Thirdly, by summarizing Robert K. Merton and his sociology of science comprehension, it deals society and science relation.
