Özet

Çalışmanın amacı, iki farklı egzersiz programının fibromiyalji tedavisindeki etkinliğini karşılaştırmaktı. Gereç ve yöntem: Çalışma Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi Fizik Tedavi ve Rehabilitasyon Yüksekokulu'nda gerçekleştirildi. Çalışmada statik pozisyonda daktilo ve bilgisayar kullanarak çalışan 150 kişi değerlendirildi. American College of Rheumatology'nin fibromiyalji tanı kriterlerine göre fibromiyalji seridromu (FS) tanısı alan 32 hasta tedavi programına alındı. Hastalar 16 kişiden oluşan iki gruba ayrıldı, 1. gruba; germe, kuvvetlendirme ve postür egzersizleri, 2. gruba; post-izometrik relaksasyon, remedial egzersizler ve aktif mobilizasyon egzersizleri üç hafta süresince haftada üç gün uygulandı. Her iki gruptaki hastalara egzersiz öncesi nemli sıcaklık uygulandı ve postür eğitimi verildi. Tedavi öncesi ve sonrası servikal ve spinal esneklik değerlendirildi ve Fibromyalgia Impact Questionnaire uygulandı. Sonuçlar: Statik postürde daktilo ve bilgisayar kullanarak çalışan 150 kişide fibromiyalji görülme sıklığı % 26.6 olarak belirlendi. Tedavi öncesi ve sonrası yapılan değerlendirmeler sonucunda her iki grupta tüm parametrelerde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı ölçüde iyileşme elde edildi (p0.05). Tartışma: Yapılan bu çalışmada, her iki egzersiz yönteminin fibromiyalji tedavisinde etkili olduğu sonucuna varıldı.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to determine the prevalence of fibromyalgia on persons who work in a static posture and to investigate the efficiency of two different exercise programs. Material and methods: This study was conducted in Dokuz Eylül University School of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation on 32 patients who were diagnosed according to the American College of Rheumatology Fibromyalgia Classification Criterias and who work in a static posture using a computer and typing. The first group (16 patients) received stretching, posture and strengthening exercises, the second group (16 patients) received remedial exercise, post-isometric relaxation and self mobilization for three weeks and three sessions in one week. All patients received moist heat before exercises and were educated for posture awareness. Before and after treatment cervical and spinal flexibility was evaluated and the Fibromyalgia Impact Questionnaire was applied. Results: The estimated prevalence of fibromyalgia was 26.6 % in 150 persons who worked in a static posture using a computer and typing. Evaluations were made before and after treatment and improvements were noted for both groups (p0.05). Conclusion: We can conclude that both these two different exercise programs are effective in the treatment of fibromyalgia.
