Özet

Kurşun (Pb), endüstriyel alanlarda sık kullanılan ve insan ve hayvanlarda toksik etki oluşturan enyaygın çevre kirleticilerinden biridir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, Pb toksisitesine maruz kalan Japonbıldırcınlarının rasyonuna beta-glukan ilavesinin sindirilebilirlik, sekum toplam koliform ve toplamlaktik asit bakteri sayıları üzerine etkilerini araştırmaktır. Çalışmada, 5 haftalık yaşta 112 Japonbıldırcın rastgele her biri 7 bıldırcından oluşan 4 tekerrüre sahip 4 gruba ayrıldı. Bıldırcınlar, 1)kontrol, 2) 100 mg/kg Pb, 3) 100 mg/kg beta-glukan, 4) 100 mg/kg Pb ile 100 mg/kg beta-glukaniçeren yemlerle beslendi. Pb ilavesi koliform bakteri sayısını istatistiksel olarak önemli derecededüşürürken (P0.05). Pbtoksisitesi oluşturulan bıldırcınlarda rasyona beta-glukan ilavesi, kuru madde ve ham yağsindirilebilirliği ile sekum laktik asit bakteri sayılarını anlamlı şekilde değiştirmemiştir (P>0.05). Hamprotein sindirimi, kontrol ve beta-glukan gruplarında değişmezken (P>0.05), Pb grubunda azalmagözlenmiştir (P

Abstract

Lead (Pb) is one of the most common environmental pollutants commonly used in industrial areasand is toxic to humans and animals. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of beta glucan supplementation on the diet of Japanese quails exposed to Pb toxicity on digestibility, totalcoliform, and total lactic acid bacteria counts. In the study, 112 Japanese quails at the age of 5weeks were randomly divided into 4 groups of 7 quails each with 4 replicates. The quails were fedwith feeds containing 1) control, 2) 100 mg/kg Pb, 3) 100 mg/kg beta-glucan, 4) 100 mg/kg Pb and100 mg/kg beta-glucan. While the Pb supplementation statistically significantly reduced thenumbers of coliform bacteria (P0.05). The supplementation of beta-glucan to the diet, dry matter and ether extract digestibilityand cecum lactic acid bacteria count did not significantly change in quails with lead toxicity(P>0.05). While crude protein digestibility did not change in the control and beta-glucan groups(P>0.05), a decrease was observed in the Pb group (P
