Buzağıların göbek enfeksiyonlarında postoperatif adezyonların önlenmesinde Polyethylene Glycol'ün kullanılması

Özet

Bu çalışmada; F.Ü. Veteriner Fakültesi Cerrahi Kliniğinde göbek enfeksiyonu operasyonu yapılan yirmi adet buzağıda postoperatif adezyonlann önlenmesi için % 5 Polyethylene Glycol 4000, 100 cc / 10 kg İ.P. uygulandı. Operasyondan sonra; ensizyon çizgisinde test solüsyonunun çok az sızdığı, bir kaç saat sonra sızıntının durduğu gözlendi. On gün sonra dikişler alındığında ensizyon çizgisinin tamamen iyileştiği saptandı. Bir ay süre ile kendi ahırlarında kontrol edilen hayvanlarda peritonitise ilişkin herhangi bir bulgu saptanmadı.

Abstract

In this study; 5 % Polyethylene Glycol 4000 was administered at a dose of 100 cc/ 10 kg İ.P. for the prevention of postoperative adhesions resulting from umblical cord infectious operations in 20 calves, admitted to University of Fırat Veterinary Faculty Clinics. A relatively less leakage of solution was postoperativelly observed from incision line, which ceased a few hour latter. Ten day latter whilst removing sutures, incision was completely healed. These calves examined for a month in their shelters showed no sing of peritonitis.
