Abstract

In this article, the philosophical and scientific points of view of Mustafa Sekip Tunç, a thinker of the period of Turkish Republic, were studied. To him, philosophy and science come out as a result of man's conscious orientation toward himself and toward the being outside himself. Intelligence/reason and intuition, which are among the faculties of man in gaining knowledge, make up two different fields of knowledge. These two faculties of knowledge approach matter and life and it is out of this approach that the two different branches of knowledge as philosophy and science have emerged.
