PROPONENT IN SACAKLİZADE

Abstract

Sacakhzâde is one of the famous scientists of Ottoman cultural watershedwho studied in more than one different fields. He has written on logic, language,tradition (hadîs), commentary (tefsîr), argumentation theory (âdab), Islamic law(fıkıh). His authority in the tradition of the argumentation theory is due to hisTakrîr al—Kavânîn al—Mutedâvile min (Ilm al—Munâzara and Velediyye. In this articlewe aimed at describing the innovations of these two works in the tradition of theargumentation theory in terms of classification/form and also discussing whichmoves he give to the mu 'allil who is participant of discussion.
