Abstract
According to Karl R. Popper, the concepts of nature, law and normare often used interchangeably and this in turn leads to conceptual confusion from time to time. He opposes to this confusion of use since in hisopinion concepts such as nature correspond to the natural order and process; and norm or normativity, on the other hand, indicates a domain including human will and decisions to a greater extent. Essentially, accordingto Popper, even things emanating from nature can be subjects of humanthought, decisions and arguments. From this perspective, he pursues argumentation over norm and normativity with reference to Kant s view thatour concepts are works of the free mind, and we dictate these to nature.and to Socrates critical attitude. In this work, we will address and discussthe issue of norm and its source , which occupies an important place inPopper s general thought.
