Özet

Mikroanjiopatik hemolitik anemi (MAHA) ileri evre kanserlerin geç fakat ölümcül bir komplikasyonudur. Bu yazıda, maligniteye bağlı trombotik trombositopenik purpura (TTP) gelişen ve günlük plazma değişimi tedavisine dirençli olan iki olgu sunulmuştur. Maligniteye bağlı TTP gelişen hastaların prognozları, klasik TTP’den farklı olarak daha kötüdür. Bu nedenle, bu grup hastalar kemoterapi ile tedavi edilmeli ve plazma değişimi gibi yöntemler destekleyici tedavi olarak kullanılmalıdır.

Abstract

Microangiopathic hemolytic anemia (MAHA) is a late but fatal complication in advanced cancers. In this paper, we report two cases presenting with a thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP) with malignancy refractory to daily plasma exchange. The prognosis of the patients with TTP associated with malignancy are not as favorable as in the patients with classical TTP. Thus, this group of patients should be treated with chemotherapy combined with supportive treatment such as plazma exchange.
