Konya'da gebe kadınların sigara içme konusundaki tutum ve davranışları

Özet
Amaç: Bu çalışmada Konya, Selçuk Üniversitesi Meram Tıp Fakültesi Hastanesi’nde doğum yapan kadınların ve eşlerinin sigara içme durumlarını ve tutumlarını tanımlamayı ve bunlarla ilişkili etmenleri belirlemeyi amaçladık. Gereç ve Yöntem: Bu çalışma, 22 Haziran 2004–31 Ocak 2005 tarihleri arasında yapıldı. Bu dönemde toplam 830 doğum gerçekleşmiştir. Bu kişilerin tamamının çalışma kapsamına alınması hedeflenmiştir, fakat değişik nedenlerle ancak 600’ü (%72,3) çalışmaya dahil edilebilmiştir. Çalışmaya alınanların ve eşlerinin, doğum sonrası ilk günkü ve gebelik dönemindeki sigara içme durumları, kadınların sigara kullanımı ile ilgili bilgi ve tutumları, gebelikte sigara kullanımı konusunda alınan hizmet doğum sonrası birinci günde yüz yüze görüşme tekniği ile bir anket formu kullanılarak sorgulandı. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde önemlilik testi olarak ki-kare kullanıldı. Bulgular: Gebeliğin herhangi bir döneminde sigara içmiş olanların oranı %7,3, gebeliğin başından sonuna kadar aralıksız içmiş olanların oranı %2,5 olarak bulundu. Abstract
Purpose: In this study, it was aimed to describe the smoking status of women during pregnancy who had had delivery in the Gynecology and Obstetric Department of Konya Meram Medical Faculty of Selcuk University; their husbands are also investigated to identify their attitudes towards smoking. Material and Methods: This study was carried out on women who delivered between June 22, 2004 and Jaunary 31, 2005. During this period 830 infants were delivered. The ınitial decision and attempt was to include all of these women in the study. However, because of several reasons only 600 (72.3%) were included. Questions related to smoking in pregnancy, the educational status of their husbands and themselves, their socioeconomic status and the harmful effects of smoking that could affect their babies and themselves were asked in a face-to-face interview with the mothers on the first day after the parturition. The chi square test was used for statistical significance. Results: The percentage of women who had smoked at any time during pregnancy was 7.3%. The percentage of women who smoked throughout pregnancy period was 2.3%. The percentage of current smokers among the husbands of the responders was 56.7%.
