Özet

Fibroepitelyal polipler (FEP) daha çok ciltte ve genitoüriner sistemde görülen, mezodermden kaynaklanan benign non-epitelyal tümördür. Fibroepitelyal polipler, otorinolaringolojide nadiren görülmektedir. Tonsilin fibroepitelyal polibi ise çok çok nadir görülür. Etyoloji açık değildir ancak kronik enfeksiyon, travma ve alerjik nedenleri içerebilir. FEPs, benign olmasına rağmen çok nadiren malign olabilir. Burada hemoptizi ile semptom veren çok nadir tonsilin FEP olgusunu sunduk.

Abstract

Fibroepithelial polyps (FEPs) are benign non-epithelialtumors arising from mesodermal tissue and arecommonly seen on the skin and genitourinary system.FEPs are rarely seen in otorhinolaryngology. FEP oftonsil is extremly rare. The etiology is not clear butmay involve chronic infection, trauma and allergicfactors. Although FEPs are benign, they can bemalignant in very rarely cases. We have hereinreported a unusual case of a FEP of tonsil symptompresentation with a hemoptysis.
