Özet

Kolorektal kanserlerin maksillofasial bölgeye metastazı oldukça nadirdir ve prognozu oldukça kötüdür. Maksillofasyal kemiklere metastaz daha çok mandibula molar bölgesine olmaktadır. Zigoma bölgesine kolon bölgesinden metastaz ise literatürde tek vakayla sınırlıdır. Bu makalede sağ zigoma bölgesinde şişme ve ağrı şikayetleriyle başvuran ve biyopsi sonucu kolon adenocarsinom metastazı tespit edilen 68 yaşındaki bayan hasta sunulmuştur. Baş boyun bölgesi dışındaki tömörlerinin ilk bulgusu maksillofasial bölgedeki metastası olabilir bu yüzden fasial bölgedeki şişlik ve ağrı da dikkatli olunmalıdır.

Abstract

The metastasis of colorectal cancers to themaxillofacial region is extremely rare, but its prognosisis poor. Metastasis to the maxillofacial bones mostlyoccurs in the molar region of the mandible. Metastasisfrom the colon region to the zygoma region is limitedto a single case in the literature. This paper outlines thecase of a 68-year-old female patient presenting withswelling and pain in the right zygoma region whosecolon adenocarcinoma metastasis was detected in abiopsy. The first signs of tumors outside the head andneck region may encompass metastasis in themaxillofacial region, so swelling and pain in the facialarea should be suspected .
