Özet
Tekrarlayan aritmilerin tedavisinde sıklıkla kullanılmakta olan amiodaronun en iyi bilinen yan etkilerinden birisi tiroid disfonksiyonudur. Amiodaron bir benzofuran türevi olup, 200mg tabletinde 75mg iyot içermektedir. Buna bağlı olarak hastalarda iki tip amiodarona bağlı tirotoksikoza sebep olmaktadır. Hastamız 54 yaşında, bayan ve 1 senedir ventriküler aritmi nedeniyle amiodaron kullanmaktaydı, ilk olarak başka bir merkezde hipotiroidi görülerek tedavisi başlanmış olan hasta bize başvurduğunda hipertiroidi tablosu mevcuttu. Yapılan tetkikler sonucu hastamızda amiodarona bağlı tip 2 tirotoksikoz tanısı konularak tedavi verildi.
Abstract
One of the best known side effects of amiodarone which is using for repeating arrhythmias is thyroid disfunction. It is a benzofuran derivative and includes 75mg iodine at 200mg per tablet. So it causes two types thyrotoxicosis. Our patient is 54 years old woman and using amiodarone for 1 year. Firstly hypothyroidism was found in another medical center and treated; and then when she came to us, hyperthyroidism was determined. After the examinations, we found type 2 amiodarone-induced thyrotoxicosis and gave treatment to her.
