The Interaction of Ibâdiyya-Mu'tazila in the Context of the Views of al-Asmâ ve'l-Ahkam

Özet

Hz. Ali’nin hilafet yıllarında yaşanan fitne olayları, fırkalaşma hareketleri-nin başlamasına neden oldu. Bu dö-nemdeki toplumsal-siyasal olayların sonucu çeşitli konular farklı mahfil-lerde tartışılıyordu. Tartışılan konu-lardan “iman-kebire” ilişkisi günde-min en önemli konusuydu. Bu tartış-maların hararetle yapıldığı yerlerin başında Basra gelmekteydi. Basra’da etkin olan gruplar içerisinde İbâdiyye önemli bir konuma sahipti. Aynı şe-kilde Mu‘tezile’nin de ilim çevrele-rinde hatırı sayılır bir ağırlığı bulun-maktaydı. Her iki mezhebin görüşleri incelendiğinde bazı konularda benzer düşüncelerin varlığı söz konusudur. Bir yandan bedevî kökenli İbâdiyye, diğer yandan entelektüel yönü ağır basan mevâlî kökenli Mu‘tezile ara-sında etkileşimin olacağını düşün-mek mümkün görünmemekle bera-ber eserlerde zikredilen fikri yakınlık örnekleri, bu iki mezhep arasında bir fikri etkileşimin varlığını akla getir-mektedir. Makalemizde “el-esmâ ve’l-ahkâm” görüşleri bağlamında her iki mezhep arasında özellikle teşekkül dönemlerini dikkate alarak fikirlerin benzerliğini tespit etmeye ve arala-rında var olduğunu düşündüğümüz etkileşimi ortaya koymaya gayret edeceğiz.

Abstract

The events of strife that took place du-ring the years of Ali's caliphate led to the start of sectarian movements. As a re-sult of the socio-political events of this period, various issues were discussed in different gatherings. The relationship between "faith-great sin", one of the to-pics discussed, was the most important issue on the agenda. Basra was at the forefront of the places where these dis-cussions were held. Ibadiyya had an im-portant position among the groups ac-tive in Basra. Likewise, Mu'tazila had a considerable weight in scientific circles. When the views of both sects are exami-ned, there are similar opinions on some issues. Although it does not seem pos-sible to think that there will be an inte-raction between the Bedouin origin Ibâdiyya on the one hand, and the Mu'tazila of mawâli origin, on the other hand, the examples of intellectual close-ness mentioned in the works bring to mind the existence of an intellectual in-teraction between these two sects. In our article, in the context of " al-asmâ wa’l-ahkâm" views, we will try to deter-mine the similarity of the ideas between the two sects, especially considering the formation periods, and to reveal the in-teraction that we think exists between them.
