Improved Dyeing Properties of Chrome-Tanned Leathers and Parameters of the Waste Water Using Chitosan Formate

Özet

Bu çalışma kromla tabaklanmış sığır derilerin karakteristiklerini ve boyama özellikleri incelemiştir. Derileredört farklı oranda kitosan formiyat uygulanmıştır. Derilerin boya tüketimi ve çekme mukavemeti artankitosan formiyat oranı ile yükselmiştir. Ayrıca en yüksek boya tüketimi ve çekme mukavemeti değerleri, deriağırlığı üzerinden %2.5 kitosan içeren %200 solüsyon oranı uygulaması uygulaması ile elde edilmiştir. Bunaek olarak, kimyasal oksijen ihtiyacı, toplam askıda katı madde, toplam çözünmüş katı madde, tuzluluk veiletkenlik gibi kirlilik parametrelerini, kitosan formiyatın iyileştirdiği bulunmuştur.

Abstract

This study investigated the characteristics and dyeing fastness of chrome-tanned bovine leathers. Chitosanformate was applied to the leathers in four different proportions. The dye exhaustion and tensile strengthof the leathers increased as the proportion of chitosan formate increased, and the highest levels of both dyeexhaustion and tensile strength were obtained in an application at a proportion of 200% solution containing2.5% chitosan on the basis of leather weight. In addition, chitosan formate was found to improve thepollution parameters of dyeing effluents such as chemical oxygen demand, total suspended solids, totaldissolved solids, salinity, and electrical conductivity.
