Özet

Bu çalışmanın amacı, psikojenik nöbetleri olan çocuk ve ergenlerin epileptik akranlarından ayırt edilmesinde yararlı olabilecek özelliklerin araştırılmasıdır. Çeşitli ölçekler, anket formları ve psikiyatrik görüşmenin sonunda elde edilen bulgular; parçalanmış aileden gelme, ebeveynlerden uzun süre ayrı kalma, depresyon ve anksiyete ölçeklerinden yüksek puan alma, annede psikojenik nöbetlerin varlığı ve eşlik eden bir psikiyatrik hastalığın bulunmasının psikojenik nöbet grubunda anlamlı olarak daha sık bulunan özellikler olduğu görülmüştür.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to identify some of the features that differentiate child and adolescents with psychogenic seizures from child and adolescents with epileptic seizures. The data collected from the subjects and their mothers through the use of various questionnaires, inventories and psychiatric interviews revealed that having a broken family, long-term separation from the parents, higher anxiety and depression scores, psychogenic seizures in the mother and in the proximal environment, lower school performance, having a comorbid psychiatric disorder and a psychogenic stress factor were significantly associated with conversion disorder in child and adolescents.
