Özet

Serebral arteriovenöz malformasyonlar çocuklarda nadir görülür. Doğumsal olmalarına rağmen, %18-20'si çocukluk çağında tanınır. Bu yaş grubundaki arteriovenöz malformasyonların en önemli komplikasyonu yüksek mortalite ve morbidite gösteren iptrakraniyai kanamadır. Çocuklardaki tedavisiz arteriovenöz malformasyonların prognozu erişkinlerden dfha kötüdür. Potansiyel olarak kötü seyirii olduğu için erken tanı ve tedavi zorunludur. Bu yazıda, çocukluk çağında tanı konulan iki arteriovenöz malformasyon olgusu sunuldu.

Abstract

Cerebral arteriovenous malformations are rare in children. Although they are congenital, 18-20% are recognized during childhood. The most important complication of arteriovenous malformations in this age group is intracranial hemorrhage that carries high risk of morbidity and mortality. Prognosis of untreated arteriovenous malformations is higher than that of adults. Early diagnosis and treatment is obligatory due to the potentially poor prognosis. Two cases diagnosed as having arteriovenous malformations during childhood are reported in this report.
