Oral sefaklor tedavisinden sonra serum hastalığına benzer tablo gösteren bir olgu

Özet

Sefaklor hem gram pozitif hem de gram negatif etkisi olan geniş spektrumlu oral semisentetik bir sefalosporindir. Pediatrik yaş grubunda otitis media, tonsillit ve deri enfeksiyonları gibi enfeksiyonlarda sıkça kullanılmaktadır. Bununla birlikte, giderek artan sayıda hipersensitivite reaksiyonu bildirilmektedir. Bu yazıda, bu ilacın neden olduğu deri ve eklem bulgularını vurgulamak amacıyla, ürtiker ve artrit bulguları nedeniyle hastanemize sevk edilen ve sefaklor kullanımı ile ilişkili serum hastalığına benzer reaksiyon tanısı alan 30 aylık bir kız olgu sunulmuştur.

Abstract

Cefaclor is an oral semi-synthetic broad-spectrum cephalosporin with a broad spectrum activity against both Gram positive and negative bacteria. It is widely used in a range of pediatric infections including otitis media, tonsillitis and skin infections. However, there are increasing reports of cefaclor associated serum sickness-like reaction. In this paper, a 30 month old previously healthy girl, who was referred to our hospital with fever, urticarial rash and joint manifestations and a diagnosis of cefaclor associated serum sickness-like reaction was established, was presented in order to emphasize relatively frequent cutaneous and joint manifestations of this drug
