Özet

Amaç: Obezite, tüm dünyada ve ülkemizde sıklığı epidemi şeklinde artan, tedavisi zor, sistemler üzerine etkileri olan, kronik,metabolik bir hastalıktır. Bu çalışma Elazığ İli Sivrice ilçesinde 35 yaş ve üzeri nüfusta obezite prevalansı ve etkileyen riskfaktörlerinin saptanması amacıyla yapılmıştır.Gereç ve Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı ve kesitsel tipteki bu çalışmanın evrenini Elazığ ili Sivrice ilçe merkezinde ikamet eden 35yaş ve üzeri 1600 birey oluşturmuştur. %95 güvenirlik aralığında %4 sapma ile örnekleme alınacak birey sayısı 383hesaplanmıştır. Örnekleme alınacak bireyler kayıtlardan sistematik örnekleme ile seçilmiştir. Bireylerin 364’üne ulaşılmıştır(Cevaplılık oranı %95.0). Anketin uygulanması, sahaya çıkılarak örnekleme alınan bireylerle yüz yüze görüşme tekniği ileuygulanmış olup boy ve kilo ölçümü de yapılmıştır. İstatistiksel değerlendirmelerde değişkenlerin özelliklerine göre yüzde,Fisher’s Exact Test, Ki-kare ve t testi kullanılmıştır.Bulgular: Araştırmaya katılanların yaş ortalamaları 51.4±12.6, %50.8‘i kadındır. Çalışmaya katılan bireylerin beden kütleindeksi ortalamaları 26.79±4.64 kg/m2dir. Katılımcılardan obez bireylerin oranı %23.9, fazla kilolu bireylerin oranı ise%37.9’dur. Abstract

Aim: Obesity is a chronic metabolic disease that has an increasing frequency in the form of an epidemic in the world and in our country, which is difficult to treat and has effects on systems. This study was conducted to determine the prevalence of obesity and affecting risk factors in the population of 35 years old and above in Sivrice district of Elazig Province. Methods: The universe of this descriptive and cross-sectional study consisted of 1600 individuals aged 35 and over residing in Sivrice district center of Elazig province. The number of individuals to be sampled with 4% deviation in the 95% confidence interval was calculated as 383. The individuals to be sampled were selected from the records by systematic sampling. 364 of the individuals have been reached (Response rate 95.0%). The questionnaire was applied to the sampled individuals through face-to-face interview technique and height and weight were measured. In statistical evaluations, percentage, Fisher’s Exact Test, Chi-square and t test were used according to the characteristics of the variables. Results: The mean age of the participants in the study was 51.4 ± 12.6 and 50.8% (n: 185) were women. The mean BMI of the all participants in the study was 26.79 ± 4.64 kg / m2. The rate of obese individuals from participants was 23.9% and the rate of overweight individuals was 37.9%.
