TÜRKİYE'DE DOĞALGAZ KULLANIMI VE KALKINMANIN MEKÂNSAL ANALİZİ

Özet

Türkiyenin son yıllardaki ekonomik büyümesine paralel olarak enerji kaynaklarının kullanımı da hızla artmıştır. Enerjikaynaklarının içinde özellikle doğal gaz -sanayide ve konutlarda hem temiz bir kaynak olması ve hem de kullanım kolaylığıaçısından- artan kullanımı ile göze çarpmaktadır. Ancak doğalgaz kullanımı tüm şehirlerde eşit seviyede gerçekleşmemektedir.Bu noktadan hareketle çalışmanın amacı eneji kayakları içinde doğalgazın artan kullanım oranlarının bölgesel kalkınmayaetkisini araştırmaktır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda çalışmada keşfedici mekânsal veri analizi uygulanmıştır. Analiz sonuçlarına göregerek doğalgaz kullanımında gerek sosyo-ekonomik gelişmişlik seviyesinde mekânsal eşitsizlik tespit edilmiştir. Bu mekânsaleşitsizlik Türkiyede doğu ve batının sosyo-ekonomik ikilemini yansıtmaktadır. Çalışmada ayrıca doğalgaz kullanımı ve sosyo- ekonomik gelişmişlik seviyesinin mekânsal kümelenmeleri tespit edilmiştir. Bu mekânsal kümelenmeler her iki değişken içinbirbirleri arasında benzerlik göstermektedir. Bu örtüşme sosyo-ekonomik gelişmişliği düşük olan bölgelerde kaliteli, temiz vekullanımı kolay olan doğalgaz yatırımlarının ve doğalgaz kullanımının düşük olduğunu göstermektedir. Türkiyede sosyo- ekonomik gelişmişliği düşük olan Doğu ve Güney Doğu Anadolu bölgelerindeki illerin durumunu iyileştirmek için politikayapıcıların bu bölgelere enerji yatırımlarının arttırılması için gerekli ortamın sağlaması ve dolayısıyla doğalgaz kullanımınıyaygınlaştırması gerekmektedir.

Abstract

In recent years Turkey's economic growth has been increased rapidly in parallel with the use of energy resources.Especially natural gas among the sources of energy is standing out with increasing use, both in residences and industries due toits clean source and ease of use. However, the consumption quantitiy of natural gas realizations in all cities are not equal. Fromthis point the scope of this study is investigating the effect of increasing natural gas consumption to regional development. Forthis purpose exploratory spatial data analysis (ESDA) has been applied in the study. According to the results of spatial disparitieshave been identified, both in consumption quantitiy of natural gas and in the level of socio-economic development. These spatialinequalities reflect Turkey s east-west dilemma in socio-economic differences. Furthermore natural gas consumption and socio- economic development level s spatial clusters were identified in this study. These spatial clusters are similar for both variablesbetween each other. This similitude shows that both natural gas high quality, clean and also easy to use- investment and usage isinadequate in the low level of socio-economic development regions. In order to improve these underdevelopedprovinces economic conditions in Eastern and South Eastern Anatolian regions in Turkey, policy makers should create such aneconomic environment to increase investments in energy and therefore promoting the consumption of natural gas is required.
