TORMENT OF THE GRAVE ACCORDING TO MUTAZILA

Özet

Kur'ân-ı Kerîm'de kabir azâbıyla ilişkilendirilen âyetlerindelâletleri hususunda görüş ayrılıkları olduğundan bu konutarih boyunca tartışılmıştır. Sünnî kaynakların çoğundaMu'tezile'nin kabir azâbını inkâr ettiği belirtilmektedir. FakatMu'tezilî ve diğer bazı sünnî kaynaklara bakıldığında ise budurumun gerçeği yansıtmadığı görülmektedir. Mu'tezile, geneldebir meseleyi incelerken eleştirel bir yöntem uygulamayıve dinî metinleri te'vil etmeyi esas almıştır. MuhtemelenMu'tezile'nin, kabir azâbı hakkında kullanılan delilleri de buyöntemlerine tâbi tutmaları ve farklı yorumlamaları onların"kabir azâbını inkâr ediyor" diye vasıfl andırılmalarına sebepolmuştur. Bu çalışmamızda her ne kadar homojen bir yapıarzetmese de Mu'tezile'nin kabir azâbını nasıl değerlendirdikleriniincelemeye çalışacağız.

Abstract

The Quran verses associated with the torment of the grave and its guidance has always been a discussion through out history due to the clash of opinions. Most Sunni sources claim that Mutazila deny the torment of grave, Mutazila's and some other Sunni sources state that this situation does not refl ect the truth. Mutazila usually employ a critical analysis of a topic in accordance with religious texts while its reviewing it. It's most likely that this critical analysis method is used while reviewing the torment of the grave and as a result is seen by others as "denial of the torment of the grave" by other sects. In this study we will try to examine how Mutazila assess the torment of the grave.
