8. Sınıf öğrencilerinin sera etkisi hakkındaki bilgi düzeylerinin ve kavram yanılgılarının tespit edilmesi

Özet
Bu çalışma, 8.sınıf öğrencilerinin sera etkisi konusundaki bilgi düzeylerini ve kavramyanılgılarını belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır.2011 yılında yapılmış bu araştırmanın örneklemini, Ardahan/Çıldır ilçesindeki 8. Sınıf(N=148) öğrencileri oluşturmaktadır. Veri toplama aracı, 3lü likert tipte hazırlanmış 34 maddedenoluşmaktadır. Ölçeğin güvenirlik katsayısı α= 0,88dir. Ölçekte sera gazlarının kaynakları, etkileri,önleme ve azaltma yollarına ilişkin maddeler yer almaktadır. Veriler, SPSS Programında an alizedilmiştir. Verilerin değerlendirilmesi için frekans (f) ve yüzde (%) de ğ erleri incelenmiştir.Elde edilen bulgular sonucunda, öğrencilerin sera etkisi hakkındaki bilgi düzeylerinin çokdüşük olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca, sokaklara atılan çöpler, sera etkisini daha da artıracak şeklindekavram yanılgılarına sahip oldukları görülmüştür. İlaveten, sera etkisinin artması ile daha çokdeprem olacağı şeklindeki önermelerde de kavram kargaşası içinde oldukları tespit edilmiştir.
Abstract
This study has been carried out in order to determine the knowledge levels andmisconceptions of 8 th grade students on the greenhouse effect.The sampling of this study, which was carried out in 2011 year, is composed of 8 th gradestudents (N=148) in the town of Ardahan/ Çıldır. As data collecting tool, a scale of 34 items preparedin the type of triple likert was utilized. The reliability coefficient of the scale was found to be α= 0,88.In the scale, items related to the so urces of greenhouse gases, their effects, their prevention and theirdepletion take place. The data were analyzed by means of SPSS programme. The frequency (f) andper cent (%) values were examined for evaluation of the data.As a result of the findings o btained, it was found out that the students had very low level ofknowledge about the greenhouse effect. Also, the students were seen that they had a misconceptionssuch as the rubbish thrown will increase the greenhouse effect more . In addition to this, it wasfound out that the students are also in conceptual confusion on propositions such as there will be a lotof earthquakes by reason of the increase of the greenhouse effect.
