Özet
Bu çalışma, bilgi ekonomisi göstergelerinden yola çıkarak Türkiye'nin 2004-2014 dönemindeki on yıllık performansını değerlendirmek amacıyla hazırlanmıştır. Bu amaçla Ar-Ge faaliyetleri, istihdam, patent başvuru ve tescil sayıları, bilimsel yayın sayıları ve BİT sektörü, küresel rekabet endeksi gibi göstergeler incelenmiştir. Bu veriler, gelişmiş ülkelerle kıyaslandığında Türkiye'nin bilgi ekonomisi performansının düşük kaldığını ortaya koymaktadır.
Abstract
The aim of this study is evaluating the ten-year performance of Turkey for the period of 2004-2014 based on knowledge economy indicators. For this purpose, some indicators such as R & D activities, employment, number of patent applications and registrations, the number of scientific publications, the ICT sector and global competitiveness index has been analyzed. These data, when compared with developed countries show that Turkey's performance in the knowledge economy is lower.
