Abstract

The research has been planned to reveal whether the preschool education is effective on children in developing democratic behaviours or not. 100 parents chosen from the schools in which children's of middle socio-economical level families are going on, and another 100 parents, whose children are not going on any education institution are included in the research. Both of the groups are in the same socio-economical level. The questionnaire form developed by Yaşar (1994) has been used for gathering the information. The "t test" for analyzing the information and chi-square technique for determining the differences among the the distributions have been practiced. -Furthermore, SSPS 13.0 packet programme is used for the statistic operations. As a result of the research, it is determined that there are significant differences between the groups on their democratic behaviours.
