Okul Öncesi Eğitim Kurumlarındaki Öğretmenlerin Yöneticileri Algılamaları Üzerine Bir Çalışma

A Study on Manager's Perceptions of Preschool Education Teachers Working at Institutions

Özet

Bu araştırma, okul öncesi eğitim kurumlarındaki öğretmenlerin yöneticileri nasıl algıladıklarını belirlemek amacıyla planlanmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini Ankara ilinde SHÇEK'e bağlı özel anaokulları ile kurumlara bağlı resmi anaokullarında görev yapan öğretmenler oluşturmaktadır. Pilot uygulamada 50 maddeden oluşan anket formu 180 okul öncesi eğitim öğretmenine uygulanmıştır. Yeterli madde yüküne sahip 40 madde seçilerek asıl uygulamada toplam 71 öğretmene test-tekrar test olarak uygulanmıştır. "Yönetici Algı Envanteri" güvenirlik çalışmasında; Cronbach alfa güvenirliğine bakılmıştır. Araştırmada geliştirilen envanterin genel güvenirlik katsayısı .9893 olarak bulunmuştur. Elde edilen verilerin analizinde, öğretmenlerin bağlı oldukları kuruma göre yöneticileri algılamalarına ilişkin t-testi, öğretmelerin yaşına, öğrenim düzeyine, hizmet yılına, çalıştıkları sınıftaki çocukların yaş gruplarına ve çalıştıkları sınıftaki çocuk sayısına ilişkin değerlendirmelerde Kruskal Wallis analizi yapılmıştır. Bulgulara göre; özel kurumlarda çalışan öğretmenlerin ve 18-25 yaş arası olan öğretmenlerin yöneticilerini olumlu algıladıkları, 16-20 kişilik sınıflarda çalışan öğretmenlerin yöneticilerini olumsuz algıladıkları görülmektedir. Öğretmenlerin, hizmet yılına, öğrenim düzeyine ve sınıflarındaki çocukların yaş gruplarına göre yapılan analizlerde anlamlı bir farkın olmadığı sonucu ortaya çıkmıştır.

Abstract

This study was undertaken to determine how the preschool teachers perceive their managers. The samples for the research were chosen from preschool teachers working in private SHÇEK preschools in Ankara and in state-governing pre-schools. During the pre-test a questionnaire consisting of 50 items were administrated to the 180 preschool teachers. As a result of the factor analysis 40 items were chosen, and administrated to 71 preschool teachers again as re-test. For the "Managers' Perception Inventory" Cronbach reliability test was used. The general reliability co-efficiency of the inventory to have been developed in the study was measured as 9893. In the analysis of the data obtained for the purpose of determining how the teach¬ers in their own institutions perceive their managers, a t-test was administrated; and for the purpose of determining the ages of the teachers, their level of education, the length of the service, the age groups of their classes, and for the number of their students in the classes, a Kruskal-Wallis test was administrated. According to the findings, those teachers who work in the private institutions and those aged between 18-25 perceive their managers positively. In contrast, those teaching in classes with 16-20 students have relatively negative perceptions of their managers. In the analysis which were done based on the length of service, the level of education, and the age groups of the students in their classes, the findings were not statistically significant.
