Abstract

Abnormalities of the urachus in adults are uncommon and consist of a wide spectrum of presentations from patent rite/line duct to urachal cysts. Urachal tract remnants that abnormally remain patent are subject to infection. We report a case of a seventeen years old male patient presented with complaints of pain, purulant discharge and redness over umblicus suggesting omphalitis. The complaints of the patient remained after conservative and surgical treatment towards omphalitis. Further imaging studies revealed urachal cyst and umblical sinus, so definitive surgical therapy was performed.
