Sosyalist Realizm’in Öncü İsimlerinden Çernişevski ve “Nasıl Yapmalı?” Romanında İdeal Kahraman Tip Olgusu

Abstract

Chernyshevsky, an intellectual Russian writer, reflects his political theories and thoughts to his literary works on the aesthetic level. Therefore, before the literary conception of Socialist Realism, Chernyshevsky leads to the writers supporting this literary movement with his novels and theoretical works. As a matter of fact, while determining literary principals, they consider the works of Chernyshevsky as a source. One of the best specific features of literary conception of Socialist Realism is to give priority to the positive character as a model with his/her personality. The aim of this study is to analyse how the “ideal hero” is reflected in Chernyshevsky’s novel “What Is To Be Done?” in the light of political novel theories.
