Özet

Amaç. Diyabetes mellitus kronik olarak seyreden metabolik bir hastalıktır. Bu nedenle diyabet hastaları ile çalışan sağlık personeli, hastanın yaşam kalitesi ve hastalığının kontrolünde oldukça önemli olan stres ve durumluk-sürekli bunaltı düzeyini bilmesi ve hastaya yönelik girişimlerinde bu doğrultuda planlama yapması. Yöntem. Tanımlayıcı, kesitsel araştırma ilkelerine göre çalışma; 15 Ocak-15 Haziran 2008 tarihleri arasında Diyabetle Yaşam Derneği Samsun Şubesi'ne kayıtlı olan Tip 2 diyabet hastaları ile yapılmıştır. Sosyodemografik değişkenler ile Durumluk-Sürekli Kaygı Envanteri ve Stresle Başa Çıkma Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Bulgular. Hastaların eğitim düzeylerine göre Stresle Başa Çıkma Ölçeği'nin "Sorunla Uğraşmaktan Kaçınma" alt boyutunda ilköğretim düzeyi (x=29,97) en yüksek seviyede bulunurken, eğitim seviyesi yükseldikçe anlamlı derecede düştüğü görülmüştür (F=5,900; p

Abstract

Aim. Diabetes mellitus is metabolic diseases with a chronic course. Therefore, health workers working with diabetes patients should be informed about the life quality, stress and state and trait anxiety levels of the patients. The aim of this investigation was to evaluate the state and trait anxiety level and status of coping with stress in patients with type 2 diabetes. Methods. This descriptive and cross sectional study was carried out with type Diabetes patients registered with Samsun Branch of life with Diabetes Association between January 15 and June 15 2008. In the evaluation of relation with socio demographic variables, state and trait anxiety inventory and coping with stress scale was used Results.
