Özet
Diskoid lupus eritamatozus (DLE) etyolojisi bilinmeyen, kronik, otoimmün ve mukokütanöz birhastalıktır. Bu vaka raporunda DLE teşhisi ile tıbbi tedavi görmüş hastanın ağız içi bulguları vehistopatolojik muayene sonuçları sunulmaktadır. Elli dokuz yaşındaki bayan hasta kliniğimize dişetlerindeki kızarıklık ve yanma hissi şikayetiile başvurdu. Sistemik belirtileri nedeniyle daha önce DLE tanısı konmuş ve tedavi görmüşhastada ağız içi muayenede dişeti enflamasyonu, palatal mukozada makül, bukkal mukozadatelenjiektazik alanlar, özellikle maksiller ve mandibular anterior dişlerin vestibul yüzeylerindeserbest ve yapışık dişetinde eritematöz ve Nikolski belirtisi (+) alanlar izlendi. Klinik veradyografik muayene sonucu kronik periodontitis teşhisi kondu.
Abstract
Discoid lupus erythematosus (DLE) is a chronic, autoimmune and a mucocutaneous disease ofunknown etiology. In this case report we presented the intra oral findings and histopathologicalexamination results of a patient who diagnosed and medically treated with DLE.A 59-year-old female patient referred to our clinic with complaint of burning sensationand redness in the gingiva. The patient was previously diagnosed with DLE and had beentaken treatment because of the systemic symptoms. Intra oral examination showed gingivalinflammation, macule in the palatal mucosa, telangiectatic areas in the buccal mucosa, erythematos and Nicolsky s sign (+) areas especially in the free and attached gingiva of thevestibule surfaces of maxillary and mandibular teeth. Following the clinical and radiographicexamination she was diagnosed with chronic periodontitis. Histopathologic examination wasperformed on biopsy taken from vestibular surface of mandibular anterior teeth. DLE is a risk factor for squamous cell carcinoma. Further it has been reported that oral mucosallessions of DLE may occur before the skin lesions. For this reasons, intra oral lessions andsystemic findings of DLE patients should be well examined and followed up after diagnosis.
