Özet
Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı, farklı lubrikantların bir kompozit rezinin yüzey mikro sertliği üzerine etkilerinin değerlendirilmesidir. Gereç ve Yöntem: Çalışmada disk şeklinde 180 adet kompozit rezin (Filtek Z250) örnek hazırlandı ve test edilen lubrikanta göre rastgele 6 gruba ayrıldı (n=30). G1.Kontrol (lubrikant kullanılmadı) G2.Etanol G3.Etch & Rinse Adeziv (Adper Single Bond 2) G4.Self & etch Adeziv (Cleafil SE Bond / sadece adeziv kullanıldı) G5.Universal Adeziv (G-Premio Bond) ve G6. Bisco Modeling Rezin.
Abstract
Background and Aim: This study aimed to evaluate the effects of different instrument lubricants on the surface microhardness of a resin composite. Material and Method: A total of 180 disk-shaped specimens of a resin composite (Filtek Z250; 3M-ESPE) were prepared in plastic molds and randomly divided into six groups according to the lubricants tested (n= 30)—group 1: control (no lubricant was used); group 2: ethanol; group 3: etch-and-rinse adhesive (Adper Single Bond 2; 3M-ESPE); group 4: self-etch adhesive (Clearfil SE Bond/the use of adhesive bottle only); group 5: universal adhesive (G-Premio Bond; GC); and group 6: Bisco modeling resin. The Vickers hardness number was assessed using a microhardness tester. Following the baseline measurements, finishing/polishing procedures were performed, and microhardness was remeasured. The data gathered were statistically analyzed (p< 0.05). Results: There was a statistically significant difference between the control and lubricant groups (p< 0.05). Although finishing/polishing procedures improved the microhardness values in all the groups, a significant difference was found between the control and lubricant groups, except for the ethanol group (p< 0.05). Conclusion: Instrument lubricants changed the surface microhardness of the resin composite tested.
