Okul öncesi eğitimde bilişsel gelişim ve etkinlikler

Özet

Çocukların yaşamında kritik bir öneme sahip olan okul öncesi dönemdeki eğitiminin başarısı bazı faktörlere bağlıdır. Bu faktörler; öğretmen, aile, kurumdaki fiziksel koşullar ve eğitim ortamı, eğitim programı, kullanılan materyaller ve çocuğa sunulan zengin uyarıcılar, öğrenme öğretme sürecinde kullanılan farklı yöntem ve teknikler ile çocuğun, programın ve öğretmenin değerlendirilmesi olarak sıralanabilir. Bu bağlamda okul öncesi öğretmenleri, çocukların yaş ve gelişim alanlarına uygun, ilgi ve ihtiyaçlarını destekleyen eğitim programları geliştirebilir ve uygulayabilirler. Bu açıdan geliştirilen okul öncesi eğitim programları, çocuklar için farklı etkinlikler ve deneyimler sunarak onların bilişsel ve dil becerilerini hızla geliştirecektir. Bunun yanı sıra geliştirilecek program, ilkokul için gerekli üst düzey düşünme becerilerinin de temellerini atmış olacaktır.

Abstract

The success of early childhood education which has a critical importance in children’s life is depended on some factors. These factors are classified such as teachers, families, physical and education program, educa- tion program, materials and rich stimulants, different techniques and methods in learning and teaching process, and also evaluation process on teachers, children and program. In this context, teachers of early childhood edu- cation can develop and apply the programs that appropriate of the children’s age and development stage, and these programs also support the children’s interest and needs. From this perspective, early childhood education programs can present the different activities and experience for children also these programs enable fast deve- lopment in cognitive and language skills. Moreover, these developed programs found the basis of higher level thinking skills which necessary for the primary school education.
