Abstract

Background.- To assess the short term out¬come of early surgical treatment in penile frac¬tures. Design.- Retrospective analysis of 18 cases with penile fracture operated between 1989-1994. Results.- Early surgical treatment was success¬ful in all cases. No complications such as penile curvature or erectile dysfunction was observed du¬ring the mean follow up of 8 months. Conclusion.- Early surgical treatment seems to be effective in penile fractures.
