TÜRK ÇAĞDAŞALAŞMASININ BİR ÖGESİ: ATATÜRK VE KADIN

Özet

Yıkılış sürecinde Osmanlı devlet adamları ve aydınları devletin devamını sağlamak için bir takım çabalara girişmişlerse de pek çok sebeple devlet kurtarılamamıştı. Yaptıkları faaliyetler ve yenilikler sonucu meydana gelen birikimler ise yeni kurulacak olan Türkiye Cumhuriyeti’nde sonrası gelişimlere zemin hazırlayacaktı. Burada dikkat çeken husus dönemin kadınlarının toplumsal hayattaki mevcut durumları ile ilgili süreçtir. Her ne kadar bu gelişmeler mevcut olsa da kadının toplumda hak ettiği yeri edinmesi ve siyasi haklara sahip olması Atatürk’le olacaktı. Çünkü toplumunu çağdaş medeniyet seviyesine çıkartmayı hedefleyen Atatürk için kadınıyla erkeğiyle birlikte gelişme göstermek zorunluydu.Bu çalışma ile geçmişten günümüze Türk kadınının toplum içerisindeki yerine değinilerek Atatürk’ün öncülüğünde yeni kurulan devletle birlikte kadının toplumsal ve siyasal kazanımları etüt edilecektir.

Abstract

Even though Ottoman statesmen and intellectuals undertook certain endeavors in order to ensure the continuity of the state during the process of collapse, the state could not be rescued. Achievements resulting from activities and innovations they performed, would establish the ground for the developments in the newly-established Turkish Republic. The point that attracts attention here is the process about the situation of women in social life. Despite the earlier achievements, women’s acquiring the place they deserved in the public sphere and political rights would be with Ataturk. Because for Ataturk, who aimed at raising the society to the level of modern civilizations, it was necessary to progress with women and men together. In this study, by mentioning the place of Turkish women in society form the past to the present, the social and political gains that are achieved with the state that is newly established in the leadership of Ataturk will be analyzed.
