Özet

Biri renk ve şekilleri diğeri ise sözcükleri kullanan, duyu, duygu, akıl ve imgeleme, görsel imgeler ya da yazı aracılığıyla hitap eden resim ile şiir, ya da imge ile söz arasındaki bağı irdeleyen eleştirmenler, Türkçe'ye "resimbetim" olarak çevrilebilecek Yunanca ekphrasis terimini kullanırlar. Bu iki farklı sanat dalının birbiriyle olan ilişkisi, imgenin durağan ve sessiz oluşunun aksine yazının devingen ve konuşma içermesi, bu makalede İngiliz Romantik dönem şairi Percy Bysshe Shelley'nin "On the Medusa of Leonardo da Vinci in the Florentine Gallery" ile 20. yüzyıl Türk şairi Nazım Hikmet'in "Jokond ile Si-Ya-U" adlı şiirleri karşılaştırılarak incelenecektir. Her iki şiirin de ortak özelliği kadın figürlerini resmeden tabloları betimlemeleridir. Bu benzerlik itibariyle de şiirlerde sessiz, edilgen ve gözlemlenen kadın imgesi ile konuşan, etken ve gözlemleyen erkek şair arasındaki karşıtlık ele alınacaktır

Abstract

Critics who dwell on the relationship between painting and poetry, one making use of colour and figures, the other of words respectively,employtheGreektermekphrasis,meaningthedescription of a visual art work. While the image is defined as static and silent, the literary work involves action and voice because of words. This conflicting relationship between the image and the word will be examined through the analysis of the Romantic poet Percy Bysshe Shelley's "On the Medusa of Leonardo da Vinci in the Florentine Gallery" and 20th century Turkish poet Nazım Hikmet's "Jokond ile Si-Ya-U". The common characteristic of these poems is that both describe paintings about female figures. Hence, the silent, gazed and fixed woman image as opposed to the active, speaking male gazer will also be handled
