Abstract

This study was carried out in Konya Province Sarayönü District Gözlü Agricultural Enterprise between 2020-2021. There are approximately 600,000 almond plants planted as seedlings in 2006-2009 in order to combat sunn in Gözlü Tarım Enterprise. These plants grow at approximately the same age and under the same growing conditions. In this respect, the effects arising from ecological conditions are very low, the differences between plants are mainly due to genetic features. In an area of approximately 5,000 trees in this population, 19 hopeful types were marked and the trees in the area were evaluated in terms of their maternal characteristics. The morphological characteristics of the trees were taken into account in the determination of the selected types. The morphological and phenological characteristics of the trees were determined by marking the healthy growing trees in different growth nature in the studied population. In this context, crown width, crown height, crown shapes, body circumference, stem length, shoot length and internode lengths were examined among the morphological features of the selected types. It has been observed that there are important differences between the types according to the morphological features. The type with the highest crown width was G-10 with 420 cm, and the type with the least crown width was G-11 with 168 cm. The crown height was found to be G-12 with a maximum of 450 cm and G-11 with a minimum of 164 cm. The type with the widest body circumference was G-14 with 53 cm, and the type with the thinnest body circumference was G-6 with 15 cm. In body length, the longest type was G-19 with 70 cm, and the type with the shortest body length was 23 cm G-17. The longest shoots were found in the type G-1 with 18.8 cm, the shortest shoots were in the type G-9 with 8.27 cm. The type with the thickest shoot diameter was G-1 with 0.72 cm, the type with the thinnest shoot diameter was G-9 and G-17 with 0.20 cm. The longest type between the shoot nodes was determined as G-10 (0.49 cm) and the shortest type as G-5 (0.25 cm). As a result of the evaluation, it has been concluded that there are important differences between the selected types and they have features that can be used in rootstock breeding studies.
